Hello world! This blog finds me in the first full day of training camp. It’s so incredibly enriching and scary! When we first drove up to the training camp in Gainsville, the driver said ‘I was the most scared I’d ever been in my life the first time I got here’. In some ways I can understand. We have no agenda, no certainties while we are here. So far we have set up camp, found spiders in our tent, broken camp down, gone on a 2 mile hike, ‘lost’ half our belongings (time to share!), and reset up camp. We’ve also heard some of the most impressive, impactful teaching of my life. We discussed healing, forgiveness, and honesty. We’ve prayed and cried together with friends that were strangers only 24 hours ago. Such a beautiful time. We have been challenged to be present, to bring it all to the table. I can’t wait to see what the next step of the journey is! Please pray for us, for endurance, joy, peace, and vulnerability and openness to what God wants to teach us!
