I wrote this before we even left Cambodia… Which was a little less then a month ago.. But I obviously forgot to post it.. So here is a little after Christmas fun read!

1. You live just outside the city and every tuk tuk driver tries to rip you off telling you it is SO FAR!!!! (no, it is a seven minute drive down one street past the bridge)

2. You have the opportunity to eat frog for dinner. (And yes Talya it was GOOD!)

3. You sleep on the roof of the orphanage for a few weeks because it is “cooler” but then end up moving inside where there is a fan halfway through the month.

4. You have random dance parties with the kids because they LOVE music and what else do you do when you can’t leave after 6 pm.

5. You cook Thanksgiving dinner for 38 people using 2 burners and a jimmy-rigged oven because the door won’t close.

6. You spend more time split up from your team because of hospital visits and the running back and forth across town.

7. You wake up Monday-Friday to the ringing of the obnoxious house bell for 6 am morning devotions.

8. You take every opportunity to escape the orphanage lot (cause it sometimes feels like you are stuck inside). Like random bike trips to get bread, walking across the street for a Coke…

9. You willingly let children snuggle with you, touch you, and it doesn’t bother you.

10. You have one of your Crocs go missing on day three and you try EVERYTHING to get it back (including bribing) the kids and it still hasn’t reappeared.

11. You end up visiting a ministry opportunity of your dreams because of God’s divine hand in the orchestration of your life.
