When we arrived in Mae Hong Son I felt separated, isolated, and just straight up in a funk.  We were surrounded by 60 kids and youth staff, I shouldn’t feel alone.

What was going on Lord?

Why am I here?

What is the point?

Where are you in this?

I could see Him moving all around me but I was just watching and waiting.  Watching and hoping.  When was I going to get it. Be on the inside.

“You no like?” she questioned.

“No, I like.” I replied, trying to cover up the face that I had just made.  Sometimes your body just reacts, right?

Her name was Pi Toi.  In Thailand you say Pi (pronounced pee) as a sign of respect to your elders.  She was at the camp in charge of making the food for everyone, 3 meals a day.  (That is a huge undertaking to say the least)

Her smile just radiated love.  And you could feel the presence of Jesus around her.  A servant.  A mother. A sister in Christ.

For the rest of the three days in Mae Hong Son I just interacted with Pi Toi and watched her servant heart.  I had the opportunity to talk with a friend of hers for a while on the phone who told me about her amazing heart and all that she is doing in the region.

She is a very influential leader in the region but you would never know it because of the way she serves.  She started her own ministry and helps oversea 11 different villages.

Pi Toi is serving just as Jesus did and calls us all to do.
