Dear Fathers,
Sometimes I don’t understand why God chose fathers to be His example here on earth. But the more I think about it, it doesn’t matter who The Lord would have chosen to represent Him on earth because we are ALL broken people.
So I want to write you today to say Thank You. Thank You for bearing the spiritual weight of the family. Thank you for fighting for and defending your children when they face opposition. Thank you for being an example of true faith through brokenness. Thank you for humbling yourself to serve. Thank you for your love shown through protection.
There is greatness in you and I want to take this moment and call out the more The Lord has for you.
Remember that love is seen in vulnerability. Be available in the brokenness. Share your brokenness. Live in grace for yourself and for your family. Love without condition. Love without boundaries.
Children are DESPERATE for the love and acceptance of their fathers.
The Lord CHOSE YOU! There is greatness in being a father.
Take notice of the responsibility but don’t be overcome by the weight. Walk in freedom to be who God created you to be as a father, spiritual leader and friend.
God the father is a God of justice, power, authority, grace, peace, but most of all LOVE.
Remember that LOVE covers all things and is the greatest.
Teach your children.
Correct/Train your children.
Pray for/with your children.
But most of all LOVE your children.
Know that each of your children speak and receive love in a special way. Seek it out and love them like that.
Luckily God doesn’t speak love to us in just one way. He speaks to each of us as we see, experience, and feel love.
So fathering is a chain reaction. You are influenced by your father, who was influenced by his father, who was influenced and so on. But what if we could break the chain. The Lord didn’t create you to leave you in a cycle of brokenness. He calls you to Himself to bring Himself into a greater glory through you.
I am claiming generational change. Generational breaking of chains. Freedom starts today.
Love Recklessly.
Without Abandon.
That is what The Lord is calling you to.
Know that you were called and chosen for the greatness that comes with being a father.
So be bold, live radically, and love deeply.
