Never in a million years would I have thought that it would be a possibility to share and preach the gospel in front of an English class at a university in China. But that is what me and 3 of my teammates found ourselves doing yesterday morning.
This crazy encounter started because we had befriended an English teacher, Cindy, who lives in the same apartments we are being housed at this month. She was so excited for us to come she couldn't sleep the night before.
We had to wake up at 5 am to meet her to walk to the school by 6. She treated us to a LAVISH spread of breakfast from the dining hall on campus (and don't think normal american breakfast…). When we were all WAY past full we headed outside to take a little stroll through campus before we headed to her classroom. It was amazing to see all the people up and working out at 6 am on the track and outdoor exercise equipment on campus.

Time had come to head to the classroom and Cindy took us to the 6th floor of a building. We stopped to check the classroom assignment that she had and found out we were in the WRONG PLACE! Now it was close to the time class was suppose to start so we had to RUN! We ran down the flights of stairs, out and around to another building, and up the stairs to the 6th floor again. It was quite the adventure, but we did make it to the classroom on time.

It was the first day of a new semester on the campus so Cindy had to introduce herself first and then the rest of the class was for us. We started with introductions of ourselves and just some general information but it quickly moved into the reason we are in China. Cindy already knew why we are here and ENCOURAGED us to share openly with her students.
So there we were PREACHING THE GOSPEL in front of 60 college students! No backing down, no being shy… OUR GOD REIGNS IN THIS PLACE!
