Raising our hands and dancing around in praise to the Lord was how we met.  They welcomed us to a worship service Friday night and the Holy Spirit just fell thick in the room.

Daryl and Debbie Snyder came over to serve in Albania with the intentions of staying two years, fifteen years later they are still here.  They are pastors at a church in Vlore and their heart is to raise up leaders to continue spreading the gospel throughout Albania.  When they first came they thought the Lord meant for them to raise up church leaders (in specific pastors), but as time has gone on and they look back they see that the Lord lead them to raise up leaders in the community.

We had the opportunity to sit down with them over cappuccinos a couple times and share our hearts and lives together.  They are such an amazing couple with hearts on fire to serve the Lord in this nation.

At one point in our meeting I shared with them a vision I had been given during the worship night on Friday.  The Lord had showed me how the songs we sang were strung together in perfect timing.  The first was how we need to break off the chains that bind us.  As our chains our broken we are able to walk out into greater depths of freedom which brings glory to God.  Sometimes the chains that are binding us we cannot even see or don’t recognize, so we continue walking out in bondage.  But that is why the Lord has given us community in the body because we are able to help people see and experience freedom from those hinderances.  If we do these things in community and live them out I saw us being able to come together as the light of Christ and shine into in lives of those around us.

Right after I shared that Debbie was excited to share the vision that she had been given by the Lord on Saturday morning.  She saw three different boxes with people inside of them. The first box was made out of cardboard and as the person walked around and looked at the walls they started feeling them.  As they felt them they realized they could push them down.  The second person was in a cage box.  They had a big smile across their face because they could see the world around them. They didn’t even realize the extent of bondage they were in.  The third box was another cardboard box, but this time the walls were painted and there were coaches and paintings on the wall.  The person didn’t even realize they were in a box because they had made it comfortable.

I believe both of those visions were to speak to the Albanian people to break out of their bondage and come into true freedom and joy in the Lord.

This is just a glimpse of the wonderful hearts of Daryl and Debbie for the Albanian people.
