1. Expect the Unexpected —- Training Camp was a process of experiencing situations that would be possibilities on the race. I thought I was prepared for the unexpected but God took all of my character and flipped my thinking upside-down to continue His work of refining me.
2. It is possible to gain 50 new family members in a week. — I never thought I would walk away with such a deep rooted bond to these people who were perfect strangers the week before.
3. Sleeping in a bed at home alone IS NOT half as fun as sleeping in multiple random situations with U squad. — I can't lie that having my own bed is a luxury, but when you wake up without 50 of your closest friends it doesn't make it as fun.
4. I am continued to be refined into who God made me to be. — Training Camp blew up EVERYTHING that I thought I knew about myself and started a journey of solidifying (again) my identity as a Beloved Daughter of the Most High God.
5. Watching others walk into what the Lord has created them for is one of my favorite things. — I always knew I LOVED to people watch… But this week has taught me that I LOVE to watch people walk into the strengths that they didn't even know were there or were afraid to walk out into. And sometimes this means I just have to step back and shut my mouth and watch.. (which is something I am learning…)
6. I can sometimes dance on the line of worshiping God and worshipping people cause seeing God in people is my favorite way of seeing/worshiping Him. (Relational Instinct) — I learned the primary way I experience God is through other people which probably isn't that surprising, but I am learning that the Lord is calling me to worship HIM and HIM ALONE. Worship the Creator not the Creation…
7. Spiritual Warfare is REAL. — Not that I questioned this before, but I was reminded again this week how real it is. There is a battle raging around us all the time and the Lord knew exactly what we needed to see and experience to prepare ourselves for this battle. When you decide to walk radically with the Lord, you are putting yourself in the direct fire of the enemy and we NEED to be prepared.
8.Your definition of "clean" is probably ALOT different then mine. — I learned to appreciate the art of the baby wipe shower. And FEBREEZE is your FRIEND!
9. We are WORTHY!!!! — Many Christians believe that they are unworthy to be a child of God who is called and chosen. But I want to be the first to let you know YOU ARE WORTHY!!! When we walk in confidence under the blood of Jesus we ARE heirs to the throne, beloved daughters/sons, clean, made new, chosen, called and WORTHY!!!
10. Dance Parties are inevitable, spontaneous, and AWESOME!!! — Part of me thought going into Training Camp we would just have dance party after dance party. But we didn't have as many as I thought, but they would break out randomly and be AWESOME!!!!
11. THE LORD IS ABOUT TO ROCK US THIS YEAR!!!!!! — Seeing what happened at Training Camp there is such an expectancy in my heart to see fully what the Lord has for the U Squad.
