Two Worlds Collide

 
Time has passed
 
Stories have been told
 
Pictures have traveled the seas
 
Letters have come and gone
 
BUT THERE WAS STILL SOMETHING MISSING
           
There is just something about putting a face with a name
 
There is something special about putting a personality with story
 
There is something that a warm embrace can do that can never go on paper
 
AND SO THE LORD PROVIDED
           
He opened the door for me to travel to El Salvador
 
He cleared my calendar to visit her village
 
WHEN GOD DOES THINGS HE GOES BIG
 
I got out of the van, turned the corner, and the whole school was waiting
 
My heart raced as I walked through the doors and Stephanie was there to meet me
 
We walked hand in hand to the front on the auditorium
 
People cheered, tears feel, songs were sang, and smiles covered the room
 
I couldn’t take my eyes off of this beautiful, grown up, daughter of the king
 
I felt like a queen as I sat in the front row and watched the presentation
 
Stephanie sat beside me smiling from ear to ear- it was a dream come true
 
TIME FLEW BY
 
I visited her classroom and took a tour of the school
 
The teachers told me of all her accomplishments and how great a student she is
 
I went to her house and met her family
 
Her mom brag about what an amazing daughter she had
 
I had lunch with ten of her favorite people
 
They each told me how blessed they were
 
We took pictures, laughed, and praised Jesus for this opportunity
 
The day couldn’t have been in better
