It has only been a week, but it feels like a year with everything that has happened!!!
After 2 days of travel— Chicago to Dallas to Guatemala City by plane
Guatemala City to Santa Cruz Del Chiche’ by crammed bus
We arrived safely at our new home— Tent City
The Lord has been preparing all 60+ hearts for this adventure.
We got settled in the first night. Early Monday morning, we met for breakfast and then Seth Sr. was going to share. He told a few stories, shared a blog about vulnerability, and then the Spirit took over. We had many people proclaim they wanted to tell their stories, get real, and let the Lord break the chains. Then, one guy stood up. Instead of saying he wanted to do it, he actually took action and began sharing his heart with the whole squad. He became completely transparent with the squad. This started a ripple effect!
The whole first week, we had one after another get extremely vulnerable by sharing wounds/ hurts/ fears/ struggles! As they declared these things, the Lord started mending the wounds and healing the brokenness! The squad came alongside one another with words of truth, grace, and sympathy!
At the end of the week, it was time to take it a step further!!
We are no longer slaves to this world despite what satan tries to tell us! Instead, we are adopted sons and daughters that have authority and worth!!!
One by one, people came to the front of the room with courage and boldness. They declared the lies satan had been holding over them. Then, they voiced the truth of who they are in CHRIST! After everyone went, we put a flame to those lies!!
Now, there is no guarantee to wake up the next morning and be a new person (to some this may happen)… But this activity will take them one step closer to walking in the FREEDOM that we are each created to live!
