Ministry
I fell in love with the women and children at Asha Nepal. We
served every meal for the children, taught English to the ladies, cut veggies
for dinners, made candles, lead devotions, played games, and loved on the
people at the home. There were some days that all our plans seemed to fall
through and other days it seemed we could never get a break. After overcoming
some obstacles, we had some incredible conversations with the ladies and got to
hear their amazing stories. All in all, it was a great month for ministry. You
know you impact lives when you are driving away in the bus and everyone has
tears in their eyes.
Team Time
The team continued to turn into a family. We know how to
have fun, but we can also be real with each other. Unfortunately, we had to say
good-bye to two more members. Justin and Kristan Gibson decided to go home to

It was extremely hard to say good-bye. They were such an intricate part of our
team, but I know they made the right decision. Now we are down to the fantastic
four (April, Elaina, Roberto, and me).
Adventures
There is never a dull moment on the race! One of our first
days, we hiked 2 miles to get to the Botanical Gardens (they said it was just
like a 30 minute hike, but it took a good hour). On Valentine’s Day, the boys
outdid themselves by having chocolates and roses on the table for breakfast and
then out to the resort for desserts. Throughout the month, we made a few music
videos with the kids at our ministry site. Our last weekend in Nepal consisted
of all the girls on my team piercing their noses and then renting mopeds and
taking a 2 hour trek up the mountains!
Life Lessons
God is continuing to teach me new and exciting things. Some
of the lessons are hard and come with a lot of tears. Other lessons bring such
joy to my heart. Through each discovery, I’m growing closer to God and turning
more into the woman of God HE wants me to be!
