“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
I can’t count the number of times I have heard that question.
As a little kid there was never a care in the world when I answered this question.
One day, I wanted to be a teacher like my parents.
“You can call me Miss Kendall,” I would say to my stuffed animals all lined up on my bed. Then I would get a book out and act as if I was reading to all my students.
But then the next day, I wanted to be a vet so I could take care of ALL the animals in the world. I would pick my cat up, pretend I was examining it, and then put a Band-Aid on its paw.
Those dreams quickly changed…
Once school started and I had to really begin thinking about my future, there were a million factors that played into this decision.
One day I wanted to be a doctor so I could make lots of money.
A few weeks later, I wanted to be a pharmacist (so I could still make lots of money BUT not deal with blood)
“What are you doing these days?”
Now, here I am, four years after graduating with my Elementary Education Degree, with my FIRST BIG GIRL job…
I am officially a World Race Mobilizer for Adventures in Missions.
(First Day of Work- Welcomed with balloons, candy, notes, and smiles)
It is nothing that I could have ever dreamed up, but everything that I need for this season!
What I thought I wanted… |
What I got… |
Making lots of MONEY$$$$ |
A job where I still have to SUPPORT RAISE L But I have an incredible work atmosphere and awesome coworkers |
Flexibility |
A one year commitment BUT I’m so excited to be getting settled and not living out of a suitcase |
Using my degree |
A job where I use my gift of relational ministry mixed with administration |
The Lord clearly opened the door for this opportunity, and I am excited to see how he uses me during this season.
I might not be on the front lines, but I am working hard behind the scenes to get hundreds of missionaries on the field each year. The hours are endless, but the payoff is worth it.
“How can you be part of this new season?”
With that being said, I am still a missionary, and I still have to support raise. I am blessed to get a stipend for this job, but it is not enough to pay the bills. I am in need of supporters to donate monthly to help me reach my goal of $900.
$900 a month for the next 12 months:
$100 (5 people)= $500
$50 (5 people)= $250
$25 (6 people)= $150
**You can make a tax-deductible donate through the "Support Me" link to the left of my blog**
I would love/ need your support as I start this new season. Please consider supporting me through prayer or financially for the next year. I only need 16 people to step up and commit to donating one of the above amounts for the next 12 months. Or any one time donation would super helpful as well!
Thanks for being a part of my story!
