11 countries. 11 months.

I’ve seen
God work in mighty ways:

Heal the sick,

Lame men begin to
walk again,

Prostitutes become
Christians and leave their old lifestyle,

Friends be baptized,

People give when they
have nothing left,

Orphans get homes,

Redemption in lives
all over the world,

Hundreds of people
hear about Jesus for the first time,

Fed the homeless,

And so much more!

I’ve
traveled the world and done things I’ve always dreamed about:

15
new countries stamped in my passport,

Been
on 5 different continents,

Experienced
about every form of transportation possible,

Adventured
through the mountains of Nepal on mopeds,

Rode
a camel and an elephant,

Saw
the most beautiful night sky in Africa,

Witnessed
a breath-taking sunset in Australia,

Went
white water rafting in Thailand,

Took
a weekend trip to Phi Phi Island,

Ran
through villages in Cambodia,

Went
to a beach in 6 different countries,

Etc.

I’ve done jobs I never thought possible:

Insulated,
uninsulated, and reinsulated a house (all in the same day),

Planted
rice in Cambodia,

Preached
to hundreds of people in the villages of India,

Mixed
concrete and plastered a preschool,

Painted
trees in Moldova,

Taught
English in almost every country,

Scrubbed
chairs for a number of hours,

Washed
cars just for it to rain a few hours later,

Put
together countless children’s programs,

Chopped
down, sanded, and stacked wood,

And
the list goes on and on!

                               How
do you follow a year like this???

It
is almost IMPOSSIBLE!

I’ve
seen it, done it, and experienced it already.

Do I go home and return to a normal life?

No.

I
don’t know what normal is anymore.

Do I go back on the mission field?

Not
yet.

But
that doesn’t mean I won’t go later.

Do I move to GA and continue doing life
with people from the World Race?

YES!!!!!!!

Ladies
and Gentlemen, I’m moving to GA!

After
lots of prayer,

Lord
opened an opportunity for me to do an internship with AIM (Adventures in
Missions).

Am
I excited?

YES!

I’m
excited about community, serving, discipleship, and something new.

I’m
excited about living out all the things I have learned this year in the real
world with accountability all around me.

I’m
excited about working with incredible women of God to build this ministry from
the group up.

Am
I sad?

YES!

I’m
sad about leaving friends and family yet again.

It
seems like I just got home and now I move.

Am
I nervous?

YES!

but I know God is in control!

I’m
nervous about having to raise support again.

I
just support raised the past year and now I have to ask for $1,500 a month.

It’s
something I hate doing, but it definitely reveals God at work.

I
have to go back to relying completely on the Lord.

He
hasn’t let me down yet!

So there it is… My life in a nutshell!!

I’ve had one of the best yet hardest years of my life!!

It’s bitter sweet to say good-bye,

But exciting to start a new journey!

You can continue following my blog as I start my new job at the
end of January!

I couldn’t have done it without you J
