The World Race doesn’t end at the end of month 11, it continues for the rest of your life. Each season might look different, but you will never stop learning and growing!!
My whole life, I have gone none stop! If I wasn’t at some practice or meeting, I was staying up late to finish a paper or trying to catch up with friends!! I had a 10 day transition from the day I walk across the stage to get my diploma to the day I was getting on a plane to start the World Race! Needless to say, my life was an adventure before I even stated the Race.
The first 4 months were crazy! God stripped me of just about everything! And it was at that moment that I finally figured out the word REST!!!
But its one thing to do it on the Race, and it’s another thing to do it in America.
This past season of my life, has been all about REST!!! What does it mean to “rest,” not only rest physically after 11 months of travel, but rest in the presence of the Lord? Does it look a certain way?
According to Webster, rest means: “a refreshing ease or inactivity after exertion or labor”… “relief or freedom”… “mental or spiritual calm”
Rest has been all of that plus so much more!! This season has given me time to sit in the presence of the Lord and just listen to His voice. I have been blessed me with discipleship and mentors that speak such truth and life over me. I have been renewed and refreshed!
This journey has not been easy, as Christ has dug deeper to my inner most being and transformed my heart inside and out!! But every moment, good and bad, has been worth it!!!!
ALL THIS TO SAY, I’M STARTING A NEW JOURNEY!!!
This coming September, I will be Squad Leading for L SQUAD!! I will be walking alongside 60 other people as they start their journey for the first time! I will be loving, serving, and ministering to each one as we take this adventure together!!
Pray for me as I meet them for the first time this week at training camp!! Pray that together our squad comes one and we are open to what the Spirit wants to do in our lives. Pray that love, joy, grace, patience, and hope abound from me!!
