It’s hard to put into words all my thoughts and feelings about training camp…..I can honestly say though that it was one of the greatest weeks of my life! God worked and moved in so many ways with me personally and brought our team together in such tremendous ways. I never thought I could get so close to 33 people so quickly! I was a bit skeptical about how tight we would all really bond…but in the end I was…and am still….in absolute awe at how God has brought us all together. I feel like I’ve known my teammates for years – and it’s only been a couple weeks!! – yes, ridiculous I know! 😉 We shared together, cried together, learned together, grew together….and laughed…. A LOT 🙂 It was a wonderful time.
There are many stories to share from training but for right now, I would like to introduce you to my team, Team N.E.O.N.!!! Team N.E.O.N. stands for Now Everyone Owns Nothing. We are all giving up everything to go on this trip. We are happily giving it all up because we know, without a doubt, that this is what God is calling us to! I can’t tell you how EXCITED I am to serve with these people!!! I wish you could all meet them…but since I can’t bring them to you in person you’ll have to be satisfied with just a picture for now 🙂

Oh yeah….and I guess I should tell you that we don’t normally dress like this! haha. This was the day we found out who our teams were and our task for the rest of the day was to “make a memory”….so we choose to head to the local thrift store and buy some crazy outfits. We then went to a sit down restaurant and had some yummy sushi….I don’t think people knew what to do with us 😉 ….ahhh what FUN! 🙂
