Soooo Mozambique has been GREAT J. Our time here is coming to an end and I can’t believe it….I still feel like there is so much to be done we need to stay longer! But, alas, we must move on. We’ve been able to help out with so many projects here and we’ve had some amazing team bonding time!

We were able to take the day off for Thanksgiving and got to celebrate as a team. It was a good day! I was a bit homesick for my family and for some of my Mom’s AMAZING home cooking (those of you that know my mother know that she’s about one of the best cooks in the WORLD J ). BUT…we made the most of it and had a great time together ! Kelly K. and I also got to try our hand at preparing a Thanksgiving meal. Let me just tell you how AMAZING that was! Hehe. Eh, almost everything turned out the way we wanted….we ended up feeding my super delicious mac and cheese to the dogs cause it was THAT good, LOL. Let me just tell you, cheese just isn’t the same here! I did though make some mashed potatoes that turned out edible, some apple bread and banana bread (we actually have an oven this month, it’s been amazing to have!). Our main dish was lovely turkey sandwiches, yum! We also played games and talked about what we are thankful for J

It’s hard to sum up everything we’ve done here because we’ve done such a variety of things…but I will try :).  During the day we have been helping out with projects on the ministry’s property. One of the main things we’ve done is planting trees. We have dug A LOT of holes, haha….they want to plant over 2,000 trees eventually. We’ve also helped paint some of the rooms in the buildings here. We have helped distribute bug nets to the people in surrounding villages as well.  We went around the villages and visited them at their homes and distributed vouchers for them to get one for free at the next church service.  Bug nets are such a NEED here and it was so great to be able to help provide families with them and also show them some of Jesus’ love :).
One of the weeks here, we had the amazing opportunity to visit another one of the Iris Ministry basis for a day. The base is an orphanage and school. We got to hang out with some of the kids there for the day! And then, one of my favorite things we’ve got to do here was show the JESUS film one night to a nearby village. It was a wonderful experience! We set up the film in the middle of a field that was right outside the village. There were approximately 400 or so people that came out to watch it!

From here we move on to Malawi. Please pray for our team and the rest of our squad as we travel there. We are quite far from Malawi right now and will have about a 5 DAY journey there by bus. From here our team will be meeting up with the rest of the squad (they are about 12 hours north of us right now) and then from there we will all journey together to Malawi.

Also, if you could please pray for my continued support. I am SO EXCITED to tell you that as of now I ONLY have about $1,100 left to raise!!!! YEAAAA! PRAISE GOD!! THANK YOU to those who have been able to donate!! And THANK YOU to those who have also been in constant prayer! You are ALL such a blessing!!!

Oh and sorry again about not having pictures on here!!  I was able to get them on the website this time but its been an issue getting them on this page.  So if you go to my pictures on here (in the menu on your left hand side) you can see some pics!  There are some from T’giving in there, from the orphanage and from the JESUS Film showing.

I am excited to report back to you all that God does in Malawi…..I feel so honored to be a witness to some of the things he’s doing here in Africa!
