We are here!!  We arrived yesterday around 1 pm into Guatemala City and then from there took a 3 hour bus ride to a little city called Panajahel which surrounds one of the most beautiful lakes I’ve seen, Lake Atitland.

Right now I’m sitting with a couple teammates in a little coffee shop….the rain is pouring outside and I am loving listening to the sound of it pound down on the roof.  I can’t believe I’m here……

This week we are staying in a hotel together while we finish our final week of training.  From here we will be moving on to other locations throughout Guatemala with our smaller teams. 

God has done some pretty crazy things to get me here!  I am still in awe of how everything has come together….support, money for my trip supplies….and even the “simple” task of packing my pack for the year….yeah, that wasn’t hard, haha ;).  Lets just say I have some of the most amazing roommates in the world who stayed up with me all night the night before leaving!  But I made it…..oh my gosh…..I made it!  Thank you God! 🙂

As far as support….here is an update:

I only need $2,100 more to be at 100%!!!  PRAISE THE LORD!  Thank you SO MUCH to those of you who have sent in money and to those that have helped fund my trip by donating to my supplies!!  I COULD NOT BE HERE WITHOUT YOU!! J

In other news, I still need to sell my car.  I tried selling my car before leaving but it just didn’t happen.  I need to sell it for at least $6,000 (this is my pay off amount for my loan I have on it), find someone that can pay my monthly payments ($292 per month) while I’m gone, or someone that would like to buy my car and re-finance it in their name.  At first I pretty much freaked out about not knowing how this will work out before leaving. BUT….after MUCH prayer, God has given me a peace.  If you could please pray that God will provide in this area!!  I know he will!!!  I am learning more to just TRUST HIM and continue to have FAITH that he WILL provide!!  I mean….He has done SO MUCH to get me here….I know he won’t leave me hanging!

I am SO excited to be here and SO excited to see what God will continue to work!!!  Please pray that he will continue to prepare the hearts of those that we encounter and that He will do a MIGHTY work wherever we go!!!
