Traveling to a new continent brings a lot of new things – new passport stamps, new cultures, new languages, new currency, new food experiences, and new forms of transportation are just a few that come to mind.
Going to a new continent has also brought some changes to D Squad. Many of us are experiencing our first round of team changes, and while Rivers is still together, we’re experiencing some changes too:
- A new team leader has been appointed for this month.
- One of our teammates went home last month to seek medical treatment for a diagnosis that could not be made in Africa. She is missed dearly and we are hopeful for healing that allows her return at the end of this month.
- I have been asked to take over the responsibilities of Team Treasurer in our teammate’s absence.
So in honor of the changes this new continent brings, we are kicking our time in Asia off with a team name change!

We wanted to stay with the water theme because our team still consists of the same people, and we are still drawn to the Living Waters of God, but there is also a refreshing newness to Him and how we’re experiencing him on the Race.
Just like a splash of cool water to the face, we are refreshed and excited to see God move in the Philippines and in Asia.
