I love music. I find that artists can say exactly what I’m feeling so much better than I ever could. I mean, maybe it wouldn’t be so hard if I had backup vocals and a sick drum beat too. Ya know?

This song – Lead Me Home by All Things New – has been an anthem as of late. It’s me. I’ve been pulled down by the world; I’ve chased selfish dreams and made stupid mistakes, which always left me with that nagging feeling that something was missing. And that something was God. I was ignoring Him and what He wanted for my life. He created me to be more and to do more than sit at a desk. I want to break away from the comfort of my plans and follow Him. I want to put my heart in the steady hands of the Father who has never left me to my own devices. Realizing just HOW MUCH HE LOVES ME has left me in awe and full of gratitude and hope. It has lit a spark within me that impels me to share Him and the hope only He can provide with the world. I know following God is not always rainbows and butterflies, but I do know that He is leading me home, and when I get there… Oh, man. That’s gonna be one rockin’ day!
