We’ve all heard the old proverb “a penny saved is a penny earned,” but I’ve added a bit of a twist to it for this fundraiser…
A penny saved is a penny RAISED!
The idea is simple: You adopt a jar for a month and fill it with loose change.
Change from your pockets, the bottom of your purses, or from your couch cushions. Change from the cupholders in your car, the parking lot, or wherever you can find it.
As you are filling the jar with change, please also commit to praying that God changes the lives of the people in that particular country. Pray God will prepare the hearts of the people we will meet and have the opportunity to minster to. Pray for the time our squad is in this country; pray that we don’t miss or waste any opportunity God gives us to share the Gospel while loving on and serving His people.
Round 1 of “A penny saved…” will start today and last until October 30th.
Round 2 will begin November 1st.
If you’d like to participate in this fundraiser, contact me, and I’ll get a jar to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your willingness to serve through giving and prayer. Both coins and prayer are small, simple things, but they both have the power to make a big difference!
