There's a song by Matthew West that God has used recently to challenge me. The song is Hello, My Name Is and the chorus says "Hello, my name is child of the one, true King. I've been saved. I've been changed. I have been set free. Amazing grace is the song I sing. Hello, my name is child of the one, true King." God has been challenging me that more important than looking at or searching for *my* purpose or for who *I* am, I need to know who Jesus Christ is in me. He is the one who makes me who I am…in every way! As I have learned this, He has burdened my heart to challenge others to live as a child of the King and in order to do that, we need to know who our King is and what He says about His children. The other side of this is that in looking at these words "I've been saved. I've been changed. I have been set free.", God has revealed that it is for a much bigger purpose than just me. Everything He does is ultimately for His purpose and I long to live that way too…driven by the things by which my King is driven!
