Its “Broscipleship” month with the World Race! I will gladly celebrate my brothers in the Lord! It also just so happens we’re at a school of worship this month with a whole bunch of brothers! I’m so thankful and blessed with the number of godly men in my life. I have learned and have much to learn from you. This blog is focused on those here on the race, but I cannot go without mentioning that all my brothers back home are also exemplary and greatly loved!
To my Tabula Rasa and B squad brothers:
I honor you for your evident desire to press harder into Jesus. I honor you for your vulnerability, and not living in the lie from society that brokenness equals weakness. I honor you for the ways in which you have honored us as sisters. I honor you for owning up to your past mistakes, and striving to make them right. I honor you for your hearts that are filled compassion and love, and overflow as you pour into the people and ministries we’ve been involved with. I honor you for your commitment and hard work. I honor you for your leadership. I honor you for your humility in learning. I honor you for your sensitivity toward the women on this squad who majorly outnumber you. To the 2 married men on B Squad, Hagen and Cody: I honor you for how you love, protect, lift up, restore, nurture, and lead your wives.
To my Covenant Worship brothers:
These men will not get to see this post; however, you should all know that in India there is an incredibly godly group of men that are faithfully pursuing Jesus and how to make Him known in their country. They are disciples being sent out to surrounding areas to bring light and hope into desolate places. They worship with contagious passion and deep intimacy with Jesus. They show tremendous respect for us sisters (I’m talkin “stand up when you walk in the room” type of respect to name one way). They love and serve one another in such beautiful ways. They have loved and served our team in selfless ways that challenge us to do likewise (well, that challenge me. I guess I shouldn’t speak for the whole team!). They humbly pour themselves out wherever they are. They are beyond eager to learn.
Men, you are needed and you are wanted! You are loved and valued. Humility and brokenness are strength and power. Admitting to messing up does not define you as a failure, but will bring you freedom. Your past wrongs are not held against you if you are in Christ, so don’t live in shame any longer. Seek the Lord and He will guide you.
Thank you brothers!
