Hi. I wanted to take a few minutes to update this section since there have obviously been some changes since I posted in this section over 2 years ago.
I am now 35 years old and I have returned from the World Race. It was an awesome experience which changed my life. I am now living in Gainesville, GA and serving in the main office of Adventures in Missions.I love what I do and I love the community that the Lord is allowing me to be a part of here.
Many of my random facts are the same but I have added a few and made some updates to ones I thought important.
- I am still a HUGE college sports fan, primarily basketball and football, and a NFL fan. My teams of choice are still the Duke Blue Devils, the NCSU Wolfpack, and the Washington Redskins.
- I still love being a “Southern girl” and am happy to be living even further south.
- Chic-Fil-A sweet tea may very well be the thing that I missed most while out of the country.
- I’m attempting to become a runner again and I am signed up for a 1/2 marathon and my first full marathon in the coming months. Hopefully I will still be able to walk afterwards.
- I am now playing in a Corn Hole league here in GA. Who knew thee was such a thing???
- My favorite book that I read while on the race was “Don’t Waste your Life” by John Piper.
- My favorite countries that I visited and served in were Swaziland and the Philippines. The one I most want to go back to and serve in again is definitely the Philippines!
- I did finally get that tattoo that I wanted. Actually I got 2
I got my first one in the Philippines with my awesome “Team Real” friends and the second I got when I returned to Durham, NC. They are more addictive than the running and definitely easier on my knees! - I lost my obsession with TV while on the race, and discovered free access to shows on the internet. I have actually lived without cable TV in my home since returning from the trip, which is something I never thought I would do . . . but I expect to get it soon because I really miss watching my sports

As always, I am an open book so if you want to know anything else about me or my ministry in this current season please ask!
Who is Kristin Fuller? This is the question that I am posed to answer on this blog so I will do my best not to disappoint.
I am 33 years old. I was born and raised in Durham, NC. I have two amazing parents who just celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary. I also have a younger sister, Kelly, who is my best friend. She is married to "the most awesome brother-in-law ever", Brian. I have a nephew and niece, Avery (5) & Lilly (2), who are the most adorable children ever! I am SO BLESSED to have other family & friends (too many to mention all by name) that I am extremely close to. I know this is supposed to be "about me" but you can't really know me without mention of these people because they are such a huge part of the person that I am and my ability to become the person that God has purposed me to be! (I will try to add pics soon, once I figure out this whole blogging thing!)
I was raised in a very supportive Christian home and have attended church my whole life. My parents were a living example of God's love, grace, and forgiveness and always aimed to instill the value and importance of seeking God's will in our lives in me and in my sister. I was saved at a young age and my relationship with the Lord has gone through many "ups and downs" over the years, but his grace has been sufficient to bring me through various struggles and seasons of change and to bring me to the place that I am today. I won't say that "I wouldn't change a thing," but I am grateful for the lessons that I have learned and the growth that I have experienced as a result of my experiences.
I am a graduate of North Carolina State University with a BA in Sociology. I am currently working as a Survey Manager for a large non-profit where I have been blessed to be employed for the past 11 years. I enjoy my work very much, and I am grateful for all that I have learned, but I know that the Lord has a different plan for the next chapter in my life and that participation in the World Race is the next step in that journey. I am so excited to be in this stage where I don't know what lies ahead in my future yet I have the comfort that comes from knowing that God knows and that He is in control.
A Few More Random Facts:
I am a HUGE College basketball & football fan. My teams (in order) are the Duke Blue Devils, the NC State Wolfpack, and whoever is playing the UNC Tarholes! In my family, we take this VERY seriously! (attended the 2011 ACC tournament in Greensboro, NC with my parents, which was one of the most awesome experiences of my life to date — thanx Ashlee and David for my unbelieveable seat!)
I am a true "Southern Girl" brought up on Country music, SWEET tea, BBQ (vinegar based pulled-pork, the way it is supposed to be), and Fried Chicken.
I LOVE to dance . . .Zumba, Hip-Hop, Country line-dance, anything! I can't hear music without moving.
I have recently become a runner (It is so addictive!) and I ran my first half-marathon in March 2011. 13.1!
I participated in the Rugged Maniac 5K obstacle course event with a group of friends from my boxing gym in April 2011. I'm still not sure who thought scaling walls, swimming & running through mud, crawling under barb-wire, and jumping over fire would be fun . . .but they were right!
NFL team: Redskins! (attended my first NFL game, Redskins vs. Giants, in January 2011 – thanx Carmen!)
Favorite color: Duke Blue (Royal blue for those of you who may not speak sports.)
Favorite vacation spot: North Myrtle Beach (or any beach really)
Favorite movie: Grease (1978)
Current favorite author: Nicholas Sparks
Favorite foods: Steak, Caprese Salad, and Ranch dressing on everything!
I REALLY want a tattoo, several really, but I haven't gotten up the nerve (or the money) to get any yet.
I admit to having a borderline unhealthy obsession with unique silver jewelry, Coach bags, Lifetime movies, and Chic-Fil-A sweet tea!
That's all I can think of for now, but I am an open book so if you have a question, just ask!
