I have known since I followed the Lord’s direction to enter into full-time ministry that I was to be a part of something larger than myself. I am constantly seeking His guidance as to which role I am to fill in his larger purpose for the nations.
I am very excited about the opportunity that God has provided for me to serve as the “Host Development Manager” within the World Race department at Adventures in Missions. After much prayer and consideration on the part of the organizational leaders and myself I stepped into this new role on October 1st. This is an awesome new role and I feel as though my skills & experience will allow me to bring great value to the organization through this new opportunity.
As an organization our purpose and “mission” is to serve the nations as the Lord directs and to “scale for a movement.” Part of this is serving the ministries, both large and small, and the individuals that are affecting change around the world. In my new role, I will be developing and managing processes to strengthen the relationships and partnerships that we currently have and to identify and establish relationships with new ministry contacts around the world. As we are seeing participation in our programs increase, we are motivated seize the opportunity to respond to that growth by expanding our influence around the world and serve more people in more areas as the Lord leads us to them.
One strategy for Host Development is our current “Unsung Heroes” program in which World Race participants on the field are attempting to identify and make initial connections with little known ministries while in various countries in order to provide leads for us to follow-up on in the office. These individuals and ministry leaders are often just praying to be discovered and for the Lord to provide servants to partner with them to meet the needs of their people and expand the Kingdom.
This is an exciting position and one in which I see such an opportunity for impact around the world by creating process and implementing it in a way that sets up our team, in the office and on the field, for success in the area of Host Development resulting in ministry and impact expansion.
There are challenges associated with any new initiative and I ask for your prayers as I seek wisdom and direction from the Lord as to how he wishes me to frame this process and in how he wishes for this initiative to develop as we as an organization strive to scale for the Lord to use us as part of an international movement. His plan is so much larger than me but I am joyful to serve my role in it.
