As we all know, it is often difficult to measure or even see the fruits of our labor.  We do what the Lord calls us to do but this is often just a small part of a much larger plan and we often don’t see the fruits that our contribution brings.  However, sometimes we are granted a glimpse into those fruits and this is such a blessing.

I often feel as though my work is so small in light of the bigger picture of all that the Lord is doing around the world.  My mind knows that what I am doing has value but sometimes my heart longs to see the result . . . to catch a glimpse of the real purpose behind it all.

One of my main responsibilities in my role as the Host Development Manager for Adventures in Missions is to manage our Unsung Heroes program.  This is the program through which we identify those that are serving the poor and expanding the Kingdom of God in the nations that we serve and identify those ministries that we can partner with to serve through our teams.  I am responsible for training the individuals that will serve as the coordinators of this program on the field and managing their efforts on the field as well as our program efforts in the office.  I truly believe in the value of this program, and my role in it, but it is also beneficial to me to see the fruits of this work.  The best way that I can do this is through the stories of the program’s successes.

In January, we launched five more squads (over 225 individuals) onto the field through our World Race program.  One of these squads traveled to Zambia, a new country for our World Race program.  One of my Unsung Heroes Coordinators, Logan Kafer, served with his team as part of this Unsung Heroes program to identify new ministries for us to potentially partner with during future trips to Zambia.  I have provided links below to three blogs that he wrote about their experience and the ministries that they found.  This serves as encouragement to me that what I’m doing is bringing forth fruit and I hope that it serves the same purpose to all of you that are partnering with me financially and through prayer.
