Well, I haven’t blogged in a while so I thought it was time for an update.

I have been working in ministry at Adventures in Missions for just over six months now.  Wow!  Time sure passes when you are doing what you love and are called to do.  It has been a wonderful and growing experience to be a part of what God is doing through this organization.

Hundreds of people have been sent to serve around the country and in many nations.  We have started an international discipleship base and will be launching several more in the coming months.  Hungry have been fed, homeless have been sheltered, uneducated have been taught, orphans have been provided for, hopeless have been given hope, outcasts have been taken in . . . ultimately Christ’s love has been shown.  And I have gotten to be a part of it all!

I have the privilege of serving daily with an amazing team of like-minded people in this awesome place in an effort to further the Kingdom.  My role over the past few months has largely been focused on developing our Parent Vision Trip (PVT) program and handling logistics for the trips.  At this point we have facilitated intergenerational ministry by sending eight parent groups to the nations to serve alongside and connect with their racers on the field.  For many individuals, this has also provided their first exposure to international missions, and the fruits of this are limitless.

In July, I also had the amazing opportunity of serving alongside my dad on a Relief trip in Moore, OK.  It was awesome for me to get back out on the field and serve directly.  However, the most fulfilling part of the trip was serving together with my dad and being a part of his first missions experience.  There is little in this world that compares to sharing in your desire and calling to love the world through serving with someone you love and watching them really “get it.”  Working in a place that provides me such opportunities as this is a priceless benefit.

My position in this organization provides me such overwhelming gratification and I feel blessed to be able to invest daily in what the Lord is doing through this place.  I appreciate all of the prayers and support that I have received from family and friends as I have stepped into this phase of my ministry.

Looking forward, I would love to talk to any of you in more detail about what the Lord is doing through our ministries and my expanding role in this.  I am in need of individuals that are interested in partnering with me financially in this amazing season of my life.  In order to establish a sustainable base of support for my long-term ministry efforts I am especially in need of monthly partners.  If you would be willing to talk with me about this, or if you are simply interested in more information about the ministries of this organization, please contact me through e-mail at [email protected] and we can set up a time to connect over the phone or in person.  You can also make donations, one-time or monthly, through the support link on the left column of my blog site.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and support and I look forward to sharing more of this amazing journey with you.  smiley
