Deadlines (noun): a date or time before which something must be done
Finish (verb): To come to an end of a course, task, or undertaking
Deadlines is not one of my favorite words. It is just noun that requires no action, it is a limited point in time. Finish is a word I prefer to use. It is an action word, requires time and effort. It sets a goal not a cutoff point. Words form sentences, which turn into thoughts and then transform into ideas. There are a lot of financial deadlines for the Race and I need to think of deadlines as meeting a goal to finish by the set date. I have never been to good at saving money though, and saving money for the Race has been one of my biggest struggle thus far. I now know that what is causing me to struggle is not my lack skill to save money or my twisted mindset on the task but the fact that I have been trying to do it alone. Being human means that I’m not perfect, I have flaws. When my flaws come to light that’s when Jesus shines brightest in my life. Going alone only causes stress and failure. Only God can help me to change my outlook on money and help me to meet these goals. I need to swallow my pride become humble and ask God to help me with my struggles.
