Let me introduce myself and invite you into the Life of Kristen Haley
I was born and raised in a small town called Holbrook, MA which I am proud of. I am still friends with my childhood friends and our little town has been such a big support in my life. After one year of college, I joined the United States Army, stationed in Texas and deployed 9 months to Afghanistan. After my term in the Army in 2014, I traveled a bit, living in different areas like Hawaii, South Carolina, and back to Texas. I moved back to Holbrook in 2016 to finish school and be around my family and friends which is where I am now
I am in my last year of Undergrad school and will be finished with a Bachelors degree in Sociology by the end of the World Race! Yay!
I am a girl of many passions! -(this is mostly a wonderful thing but it also keeps me busy and always on the go, doing the next thing)
I am outgoing/extroverted and an open book about pretty much everything
I get excited about the little things in life
-I Love JESUS and being a Christian!
-I have an amazing, big Italian family who I love and appreciate dearly
-I love my friends, old and new and have always been passionate about meeting new people. I love being in Community with others
-I love game nights, girl time, movie nights, random adventures, being goofy, laughing until I can’t breathe kind of nights
-I love being apart of my church community, bible studies and small groups-Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.-
-I love being a counselor and mentor for Christian Youth Conference (CYC) which is a 2 week overnight Christian camp for Teens.
-I Love the changing of seasons but I could live in the Fall season forever!
-I love the fall foliage, the smell of campfires, fall candle smells (you know what I mean if you are from a place that has all 4 seasons), pumpkin spice, football season (mainly because groups of friends hang out more than usual) #Basicandproud
-I am that person who listens to Christmas music and watches the Hallmark channel “too early”
-I love the outdoors (mountains, lakes and trees in one photo is my favorite landscape)
-I love to read (lots of self growth, inspiring, Christian books-they have guided me in more ways than I can explain)
-I love to listen to encouraging music (Hillsong Pandora Station and Klove is my jam) and your typical “girl” jams that make you want to dance and sing on the top of your lungs
-I love fun dance parties and singing (in the car, shower, caroling, karaoke)-even though I can’t 
-I love new experiences, traveling, hiking, adventures, camping, exploring, running, working out
-I love and live by encouraging/inspiring/motivational quotes and bible verses-my future house will be covered with awesome words to live by
-I love the zoo and petting farms
-PIGS are my favorite animal (anyone close to me knows I am obsessed with pigs)-Not only do I have a tattoo of a pig on my foot but I also had a pet pig named Maxwell who is my baby and cuddled with me every night. He is in TX with amazing “foster parents”
–I love helping people and volunteering
-I love doing work that I am passionate about and gives me a purpose—Because of this-I have changed my major a few times from Social Work, Teacher to Sociology (which I love)
The list could go on for ever-I find joy in lots of things so I will stop there

I am so excited to embark on The World Race adventure in January 2019. In 2009, I found Jesus who pulled me out of darkness into the light. He has been my Savior, my friend, my faithful Father who continues to guide me, love me unconditionally and bless me in so many ways. He has placed a deeper passion and purpose on my heart to share his love and kindness with the world. After years of searching and questioning, I have finally listened to what God has been telling me and decided to step out and GO!
And I said, ‘Here I am, send me!”-Isaiah 6:8
