Happy Valentine’s Day!
Do you know that you are loved? That you are a prized possession? (1 peter 2:9-10 & Deuteronomy 26:18). On this day and ALWAYS, know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made! (Psalm 139:14) Let us celebrate today by loving others and loving who we are <3
I wanted to share with you what God revealed to me about how he sees me and maybe you can do this exercise for yourself too
I thought it was fitting to share on Valentine’s Day because I have learned and still learning that My Worth and Identity does not come from anyone else besides God. Yes I can feel loved by my family and friends on Earth and believe me I do, but sometimes that’s not enough and for some people they do not have that or do not feel loved at all. But thank God, literally, that we are unconditionally loved by the Creator of the Universe. We are loved for who we are no matter what we are struggling with or what we have done in our past. He loves us even when we feel unworthy, not good enough, like a failure, or lonely. He wants you to truly believe that. For me, believing this has changed my life.
Sooooo Last week we did an exercise where we asked God what he thinks of us. We sat in silence with a little music in the background and literally asked “God how do you see me? What is my worth?” and then we wrote down or drew any pictures or words that He brought to our minds. I have done this a couple times but last week he kept bringing up a butterfly. I didn’t want to be cliché with a butterfly but I couldn’t get it out of my head. I drew a butterfly on my paper and then God explained what the butterfly meant for how he saw me.

(I know listening to God may be new and foreign to some people but it’s something I am learning about more and it’s really cool. We may think it is our own thoughts or voices but if it lines up with the Bible and to me if it’s loving and encouraging then I am choosing to believe it is God speaking to me)
God said: “You are my marvelous creation. You are my daughter who has transformed into a beautiful wonder. Even before, as a “caterpillar”, when you didn’t know Me, in what you thought was your broken, lost place in your life, YOU WERE STILL MINE. You have a way with people, leaving an impact wherever you go just like a butterfly. No matter what you look on the outside, you are my precious child that I will always take delight in like how people take delight in butterflies no matter what they look like. You may fly away but you always come home. No matter what…You always have a Home with ME.”

God is so good! I could do this a million times and every time he reveals something different.
I encourage you to try this and see what comes up! Share in the comments or with me on a private message what you draw or write down. I want to hear about it!
John 15:12-13 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
1 John 3:16- “By this we know love, that he laid his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for others.”
1 John 3:1 “Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children…”
1 John 4:19 “We love because He loved us first.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love is patient and kind, love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes in all things, hopes in all things, and endures in all things.”
SO TODAY, CELEBRATE THAT YOU ARE LOVED!
I love you all and thank you so much for your support! I will forever be thankful xoxo
I have been in Ecuador almost a week now! I will post soon about what our ministry looks like!

Kristen
