Hi everyone. I hope y’all are staying safe and healthy!
I just wanted to send this out, even though it may not completely answer the questions you may have. I have been in the states for over a month now and like a lot of people, I am in a period of waiting. Waiting for answers, waiting for what God has for me next, but I am relying on the Father because He is so loving and really really good.
I know that as a donor towards my fundraising goal, you may have some questions.
I don’t necessarily have an easy answer for you. There are a lot of factors that play into my next steps. Factors such as when my squad launched, how much of my goal has already been expensed, how much of my support was raised, and will my team be offered the option to go back out on the field at some point.
From an organizational standpoint, Adventures won’t be making any decisions regarding finances or next steps for about thirty more days (mid-late May). This gives them time to calculate the expense of moving over 550 missionaries back home in five days. In addition, they need time to calculate the costs of what those teams spent for the time they were on the field. And finally, put a plan in place for next steps for certain squads, while monitoring the ever changing global landscape.
So, all that to say, I am thankful for your support and will be a good steward of that support. I will continue to work with Adventures to determine the options for me.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to Donor Relations at Adventures at [email protected]. They will be able to help you with any questions or concerns you may have.
Prayer Requests:
1) Pray that each of the missionaries that were moved off the field continue to lean on God and those who are going through the same thing we are going through.
2) Pray for those working at AIM. They have been working extremely hard to get us answers in this time of unknown. Pray that they would continue t clean on God and also make time for rest.
3) Those who I have met in other countries have been really heavy on my heart. Many people that I met over seas live on a day to day budget and make their living by selling things on the streets. With the lockdown, they either stay in their house and starve or brave the streets with the possibility of getting the virus. Please pray for the safety and health of them and their families. Pray that each day they would get the food they need to feed their families and that they would lean on God in this time, knowing He is their provider.
4) Pray for those who have been affected by COVID-19. Pray that the would have peace and rest in the days to come and that they too would rely on the Father through every second of everyday. We can’t do this alone, so I pray they would seek community and not isolation (in the ways we can during this time).
5) Pray for the name of Jesus to continue spreading like wildfire. We know how good He is and He wants everyone to know that same truth.
Thank you all for you love and support!
Until all have heard,
Kristen
