My name is Kristen Wise, and I’m going on the World Race in July of 2015, God willing.
I am 23 years old, and I’m from Hastings, MN. I knew that God was calling me to do the race from the first moment I heard about it. It was as if my heart was yelling at me from inside my chest saying, “Hey, you! Yes you! You were made for this!” Ever since that moment I haven’t looked back.
Some people would consider the World Race to be a sacrifice, but I consider it a privilege. It’s an honor that God considers me worthy enough to send me out into the world to do His works. He called me to love on the parts of His creation that are lacking it the most. The Lord tells us in 1 Corinthians 13 that the greatest of his gifts is Love. He called me to be one of the people who shares that with the lost and forsaken.
I am not perfect, in fact I’m far from. But I’m striving to be the person that He has called me to be.
