Time is flying by on the race and it’s already month 3! Last month is Thailand was a little different because it was all squad month and each week we did a different ministry. The first week my team did the Monk chat and slum ministry. For this ministry we started each day with a two hour prayer walk around the city. We continued the day with Monk chat in the afternoon and playing with children in the slums at night.
The second week in Thailand my team did bar ministry. This week consisted of a two hour prayer walk every morning praying for the bars, the girls, and the night that was to come. In the afternoon we did afternoon bar ministry. This was a time for us to go out into the bars as they were beginning to open and spend time with them before the night came. We were able to play games, laugh, and have dance parties to Taylor Swift. From 7:30-10:00 at night was when we had worship and went out to the night bars. We either went out and hung out with the girls and played pool and loved on them or we stayed back and interceded for those who did go out.
The third and final week we were in Thailand my team was helping out in Zion Cafe. We either worked mornings or nights. We were able to build relationships with the women who work in the cafe and also teach english to them. We also built relationships with the three interns who helped out around the cafe.
