Wow! Is it month 6 already? Time is really flying by! I am trying to blog more but finding time has been difficult. Good news though,,,this month in Vietnam we have lots of time in between ministry so Im going to try and post all the blogs that I have been wanting to post.
This month my team is teaching English to all different ages. We teach on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and on other days we hang out with our students and take field trips to orphanages, the park and even to the lake! Because we are not super busy we have time to catch up on things and to love on the people we pass daily. 🙂 We currently are living on $4 a day for food so we go to street vendors (which we see daily) and we get to love them and just make them laugh. I also have made a friend that works in the restaurant below us and I spend time with her when I can. We are getting to know Mimi (owner of the hostel we are staying at) and the woman who cleans our room more and more. Today I helped her clean the rooms because her wrists are hurting and we got to share about our families and where we both are from.
I have aways known that “ministry” is all around us,,,our neighbors, ours friends, etc etc. Its doesn’t just have to be through teaching English or doing outreaches but it is everywhere. & I have always known that. but this month Im really learning to do that. To love all the people I pass by daily and share a smile or a hug. 🙂 This past Tuesday our team and the students went to a orphanage for mentally challenged children and we had a blast! These children were constantly smiling and laughing and we had the best time playing with them! My teammate Kat made the video below so please check it out 🙂
