On Thursday, October 16th my squad went treasure hunting for ministry. If your not familiar with treasure hunting, it is where you ask God “who do you want me to speak to today?” and God will give you words, pictures or feelings of where to go and who to speak to. Well, my team and I prayed and got a list of different things like a lady in a red saree, a couple of us got a big tree, some of us got different vegetables and a guru and lots more.

As soon as we left the house, we walked up the road and saw the very first thing, a older woman in a red saree getting water out of the well. So we helped her with the water and took it back home for her. She let us pray for her and we went on our way. After that we stopped at a fruit stand and saw a few men standing around and one guy had a lazy eye. We started talking with them and ask if they knew who Jesus was. They did. We also asked if we could pray for him. So we prayed and guess what??!! his eye became a little straighter and he said he could see better than before!!! The smile on his face was priceless. He couldn’t stop smiling and you could just tell he was so full of joy and something on the inside of him changed after that!

After that his Hindu friend stepped up and said he got in a motorcycle wreck and his back hurts. We prayed for him about 3 times and he was healed!!!! He said it didn’t hurt and he kept moving around testing it out. We told them Jesus, the one true God healed him and loves him. They asked about church and got directions and contact info and now they are going to church on Saturday! Seeing the looks on their faces and seeing how happy they were told us they had experienced the love of God.

So after that we started walking and found a lady in the purple and red which was also on our list and got to pray for her. Then we found the store front with lots of colors and talked to the girls there and spent some time with them. The girl we were with knew where we were suppose to go because Jesus gave me a picture of a huge tree with lots of roots and 2 more of us kept getting vegetables, carrots, eggplant and zucchini to be exact so she took us to that location. There we found 2 women with children begging. We took them out to eat and spent some time with them and got to pray for them.

These are just a few of the stories of that day. It’s just amazing how you ask God to show you who He wants you to speak to and He does. You wonder if it’s your imagination ,but that day we learned the difference between our imagination and Gods voice. Before this trip, I prayed that my team would experience the Holy Spirit and more of God and I can honestly say it is happening. I am so thankful for what God is doing and teaching me. I am so thankful for this experience. Thank you so, so much for supporting me and praying for me.

This week we are doing construction work at a language center, moving trash, sanding the walls, painting and getting it ready for students. This has been a busy week but its great getting to spend time with other people on my squad. If you would like to see pictures of what we are doing just add me on facebook 🙂
