Dear Family & Friends,

I hope this letter finds you well. I never thought I would be sending a letter like this to you. For the past few years I have had the opportunity to take several missions trips to Guatemala and Ecuador. I have been to Guatemala 4 times in the past 3 years; during these life changing trips I completed several building projects and served in children’s ministry. While in Ecuador I helped build a church, helped with vacation

Bible school, and had the incredible opportunity to wash the feet of the girls who lived in the Hope house. Washing their feet will be something I will never forget. Something so simple was life changing! From this trip I realized I wanted to do more! I want to see God work in ways I have never seen, I want to help more and show Gods love to people who have never heard of Him.

I am writing you today to tell you about the next opportunity God has placed before me – the World Race! The World Race is a journey to 11 countries in 11 months to serve “the least of these” through the organization Adventures in Missions. In September 2014, I will set out with my squad of 40-50 people for the following countries: India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, China, Mongolia and the Philippines. One of the unique things about this trip is that it’s not only a missions trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. While on the Race, we will be partnering with local churches and ministries to share the love, hope, and good news of Jesus Christ among some of the most unreached populations of the world. As the hands and feet of Christ, we will serve by planting churches, caring for orphans, ministering to women and children enslaved in sex- trafficking, teaching in local schools and bringing the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

I am so grateful for this opportunity God has blessed me with and I know He will be guiding every step. My desire is to share the love and freedom that God has given us all in Jesus, and also to help a generation discover who God has created them to be. I am writing to ask if you would consider partnering with me in my ministry in the following ways:

• Prayerfully – prayer is vital to my trip and I ask that you pray for me and my team as well as the countries and people we will be visiting; this is an amazing opportunity but I also know it will be a challenging year.

• Financially – I must raise $16,284 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses on the field. This financial support can be a one-time gift or a reoccurring monthly donation. If 30 people pledge $50 a month for 11 months, I would be fully funded.

Enclosed is a response card inviting you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions, “For Kristen Phillips” in the memo line, and return the response card with your donation to:

Adventures in Missions PO Box 742570 Atlanta, GA 30374-2570

The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you would prefer to donate online, you may do so by visiting my blog site at: www.kristenphillips.theworldrace.org. Just click on the “Support Me” link on the left side of the page and complete your donation as instructed. All donations are tax deductible.

I can not wait to see what God does through me and my team this year. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but to you as well! Please follow along with me on this journey on my blog listed above. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter and for your prayerful consideration in partnering with me. I pray God’s abundant blessings on you and your family.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here I am. Send me!” -Isaiah 6:8
