Im more than excited to announce that
IM FULLY FUNDED!!!
YAY!! Thank you all so so so much!
October 2013 I signed up for this trip thinking “How on earth am I going to raise over $16,000?” I jumped into this completely trusting God. I knew it wasn’t going to be a piece a of cake and I knew it would be more than difficult at times but I also knew that this is what He told me to do. So I knew He would guide me. Im writing this with tear filled eyes because looking back I see how it has grown my faith so much. I see how God orchestrated it all, from the very little things to the major details. It all started summer 2013. I went to Guatemala then Ecuador for mission trips and after these two trips I wanted to continue doing missions for this season of my life. Fall was approaching and it was time for school. I had no idea what to go for. After lots of prayer about what to do He told me. There was no doubt. So I switched schools so I could get my associates degree and everything, I mean everything, fell into place.
Im just overwhelmed with Gods goodness. When I signed up for the race I had $40 in my name which I had to use to fill up my car but since then He has just provided it all. I knew that fundraising wasn’t going to be easy, lots & lots of long days/nights making easter baskets etc wasn’t easy but all worth it. I could tell story after story about the crazy, awesome things that happened through the fundraising journey but whats even cooler is God literally provided it through you and others. I didn’t have the money to buy gear etc but He provided it. The numbers below are just an estimate of how much this trip was but none of it I had to pay for. I was working to pay for gas to get to school so I didn’t have the money to even get shots or gear. But I knew He wanted me at this school. Not only was I going to this school for an associates but also to make an impact on the people there. Again, I could tell you story after story 🙂
$16,255 trip cost
$1,000 shots
$800 gear
Over $18,000!!! Thats insane! Thats a huge number coming from someone who only had $40 to begin with but its just pocket change to God. This journey has been so humbling. Ive learned to put my pride away, learned to trust, learned that God is faithful and He will finish what He started. There is a difference in believing in Jesus and following Him. Following Him has literally been the best decision I have ever made. Seems crazy at times, I don’t understand at times, but I know He has a plan and His plan is way better for me than my own plan. I want to live my entire life following Him.
I could go on and on about how this has changed me and impacted me but for now I just want to thank you. Thank you for the prayers, support, donations, encouraging words and for believing in me. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. The people who give and support are just as important as the people who go and I couldn’t have done this without you.
****If you have signed up to donate monthly you can now cancel that so it doesn’t continue to take out of your account****
If you want to continue to donate to me, I have a Paypal for personal money you can donate to for things like toothpaste, shoes, clothes and other miscellaneous things. With the money from my personal budget I buy things for others. For example, in Cambodia there were children I saw everyday and I would buy them peanuts, and in Vietnam there were children who came up to me trying to sell sea shell. They said they were hungry so I took them across the street and let them pick out some food. Since Nepal I have decided that if anyone comes to me saying they’re hungry, I will take them to get food. So, if you are interested in continuing to donate, you can do so through my Paypal account and your money will go toward doing things for others and for things that I need as well. For PayPal my email is [email protected]
Thank you.
