So this morning I read a quote
“When you get out of the boat and start walking on water, get ready for all hell to break loose… #Faith”
So so so true!
Ever since I made the decision to follow Jesus and go on the race, I have been hit in every direction! When you make this decision, satan will try everything to distract/stop you from Gods plan.
One of the ways I have been attacked has been physically. Twice.
#1 Tonsils
About two weeks ago I started to get a sore throat. (your probably thinking “oh wow, just a sore throat. Thats nothing!”) BUT this sore throat lead to tonsillitis. If you have ever had issues with your tonsils you know its not fun. This happens every year for me! And every year I have to take antibiotics to get rid of it. Well last summer the doctor told me I needed to have surgery to get my tonsils removed but I did not have time because I was already going on four trips that summer and could not take off work another week. Then during the fall I had school and did not want to miss a weeks worth of school work.
So I never got the surgery.
So two weeks ago I got the awful tonsillitis. (Google tonsillitis and you will see its no joke) It got so bad that I didn’t even want to drink water because of the pain. Swelling was awful and I avoided swallowing as much as possible. I thought to myself “well I could go get medicine or have the surgery” but I have no time for surgery this summer because Im so busy on school, work and fundraising.
This is when I said I just want to be healed. I have never really been healed before for something like this and I have never seen a miracle BUT I know God can do it.
For a week I prayed for our Father to heal me because I didn’t want to have to take medicine or have surgery. On a Friday I text a few friends to keep me in their prayers and believe with me that I would be healed. The next day, Saturday, I was driving to school and realized that I was drinking my coffee with NO PAIN!! I looked in my mirror and there were no signs of anything wrong! There was no swelling, no redness, no pain and no puss pockets (gross, I know) Now, For two weeks my throat stayed red, my tonsils were very very swollen, and I didn’t want to eat or drink BUT now overnight all of that disappeared! When I got to school I went straight to the restroom to look in the mirror and my throat was completely normal!! I walked down the hallway laughing because I was healed!
Our Father loves us so much that He even cares for our tonsils! I have just been amazed all week because of this! Didn’t need medicine or a doctor. Just FAITH! By His stripes we are healed! Don’t ever stop praying to be healed and just believe it!! No matter what a doctor may say, just know that you are healed in Jesus name & YOU are His child!
#2 Pre cancer?
Before the tonsil issue, I went to the doctor because of a “bump” on my nose. This bump has been there since before christmas and the skin would always flake off, it would bleed and it never healed. I knew this wasn’t normal so I made a appointment to get it checked out.
I get to the doctor and she says “it looks like pre cancer. I am going to freeze it and then I want to see you in a month in case it comes back. If it comes back then I will need to biopsy it and send it off to get tested”
WHAATT?? PRE CANCER? Im 22!! How?!? Her words haunted me for a couple weeks. Even if its pre cancer, you never want to hear that! After freezing it the bump went away for a week and I thought I was fine but then it came back. Every time I looked in the mirror or put make up on I could see the “pre cancer” and her words just played back in my mind.
I don’t know if Pre cancer is a “major” issue to other people but it was major to me, especially because I will be leaving soon for 11 months.
So if God can heal my tonsils then He can heal my nose as well. Last night my friends at MRAG prayed with me for healing and this morning I went back to the doctor. She walks in and Im nervous about what she is going to say. She takes a look with her magnify glass and said “now it looks like a fibrous papule” hahaha praise the Lord Hallelujah there was another option for this thing.
She said that at the first visit it sounded like like basal cell cancer because of the flaking and bleeding but now it looks like it just a fibrous papule and its nothing to worry about. Of course she said to keep a eye on it for any changes but other than that it is fine!
Now I’m just believing that this tiny bump will go away completely and I will never have to look at it again!
If you use tanning beds, STOP!! Wear sunscreen and take care of your skin! It is so important! You don’t want to hear a doctor say “it looks like pre cancer”.
