Living it Up in Serbia- Let me let you in on some photos of what is going on here!

This is us at the bus station!  We don't even know what's coming!!! 🙂

This pic is a shot of all of us last Sunday!  We have quickly felt like one of the family. Our contacts- Julie and Karl are in the back row on the right!  They moved to Serbia from Huston, Texas 11 years ago.  Now fluent in Serbian- they run a English club and host Sunday night fellow ship in their home in addition to running the camp where we have been staying.

They have completely turned this camp into something beautiful.  When they first came across it, it was covered by small shrubbs and such high grass that you couldn't even see the buildings that were already standing.  Seeing a vision for this place, Karl quickly went to work to clear the area out.  Now with 4 years of camp behind them- they hope to double the amount of campers that they had last summer.  We are here helping with the maintanence needed to make that happen.

I am learning so much!  THIS CITY GIRL IS GOING TO WORK!  This month is full of firsts- stacking fire wood, sanding wood, raking leaves, pushing wheel barrows full of dirt, moving tree branches.

We are clearing out dead trees so that the kids can run around.

De-roofed an old milk house so that it could be moved out of the way into another part of the camp.  The area that it is currently in will be another open field for the kids to play games in.

Just being silly inbetween picking up wood for the fire pile.
