When I got the call to be a team leader the Lord put the book of Joshua on my heart.  I thought, there is no way that God could be comparing my journey as team leader to Joshua?  Why not?  Because I thought I wasn’t strong enough, experienced enough or good enough to be compared to him. In a sense I was right.  God calling me to the book of Joshua wasn’t about me and it wasn’t about Joshua.  It was about the Lord.

When Joshua was called, he was not equipped.  I am sure that he didn’t know what he was doing.  That didn’t matter- Joshua was available.  I’m learning that GOD DOESN’T CALL THE EQUIPPED, HE EQUIPS THE CALLED, so that He gets the glory.

Joshua 3:3-4 “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, who are Levites, carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it.  Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before.”

Praise the Lord!  God knows that I have never done this before.  What does he tell Joshua?  To follow the ark of the covenant/ wait for the Lord (His direction) and follow him.

This has been more than comforting.  God knew that I would need a guide and He had every intention of being that guide for me.  Truth is that I don’t know what I am doing as a team leader, but I am learning and God is showing me every step of the way.  He is teaching me to trust the voice that I understand to be His.  Most of the time He will tell me where to go/ what to do in a situation, but sometimes He says- “You choose,” and that is when I go with faith and trust that the Lord will be in whatever direction I choose.
