He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in.
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works
to the children of men!
For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul
he fills with good things . . .
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and burst
their bonds apart.
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his
wondrous works to the children of men!
For he shatters the doors of bronze and
cuts in two the bars of iron . . .
He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their
destruction.
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works
to the children of men!
And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell
of his deeds in songs of joy!
He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
They
were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired
haven.
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works
to the children of men!
Let them extol him in the congregation of the people,
and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
Psalm 107:7-9; 14-16; 20-22; 29-31
At the beginning of the month, we wrote down all the things God did during
debrief and posted them on a bulletin board in the dining hall. The object was
to brag on God and give credit where credit is due throughout the month as God
moves! And you know what, HE IS STILL MOVING!!
I know many of you have been utterly shocked and terrified by my last blog . . . that is good! That is the reaction you are supposed to have at all injustices, but I have not been entirely fair to you because as I said, it has taken me a week to write about what happened Saturday a week ago. I just never could find the words. While some of this has taken all month, so much has transpired even in just a week! Let me now brag on God and all the wonderful things he has done in Sara’s life! He gets all the credit, all the glory, honor and praise, God truly has bragging rights over this little one because it is only He who could have accomplished so much!
- Matt’s team from N squad did a great job of raising awareness in the community for Sara’s situation. They got the government and a social worker involved in Sara’s case.
- While waiting for the stuff with the social worker to get rolling Matt’s team focused on freeing Sara from all the spiritual strongholds and demons that were attached to her. A group of N squad girls went to pray over her one day. At first, Sara was smiles and singing because she was happy they were there, but as they continued to pray her demeanor changed. She started crying and lashing out- spirits were being broken off. She was being set free. Free specifically from spirits of abandonment, fear, bitterness, anger, and perversion. Afterwards she calmed down and a peace fell over the chicken coup. Susie from N squad asked Sara how she felt, she said she felt happy and she said she knew Jesus was there with her. She found forgiveness for her family and her uncle that day.
- GOD RESCUED SARA OUT OF HER SITUATION COMPLETELY! Last week when Matt’s team went into the village they found Sara sitting on a bench in a new guardian’s home surrounded by her mother and sister. Sara was singing. She was all smiles. The social worker arranged for Sara, her mother, and her little sister to live with this guardian in order to ensure she received proper care. Sara was so happy to be reconciled back to her family.
- Through the social worker, Sara has received medical attention regarding her skin disorder. Medication has been provided and the diseased places are healing!
- Her mother has quit her job in order to be closer to Sara and the social worker is helping her find other options close to home.
- God brought Sara and her mother and sister to church this past Sunday, during the offering portion of the service Sara was carried up on stage and placed in a chair where she began to sing a song in Tagalog. The Words translated mean, “God is good so so good. God is good to me.”

- He is GOOD. His definition of good is very different from mine, but he works ALL things for good.
- God has taught me much about leaving the 99 and going after the one! There was a time when I literally said, okay God, if you ask me to I will leave the World Race right now, adopt that child and raise her up as a disciple of you. If she is the one you want me to leave the 99 for, I will leave them all behind. Never ever lose sight of the fact that God is concerned for the one! If all you ever do in your entire 80+ (if your lucky) years on this earth is make one true disciple, Christ follower, then your life is a complete success! Don’t lose sight of “the one”!
- God says we are the solution. We are the church. We are world changers. We go in the power of the Holy Spirit to break strongholds and set captives free. We have all the authority and power of Christ dwelling within us!
- TRUST ME. God is continually taking me down roads where he is asking me to place deeper and deeper trust in him. He wants to put me in situations where I am screwed if he does not show up and have my back, in order to teach me how to trust in him and rely on his Word and provision ALONE!
