So it has been since about five months since I have reached out to some of ya’ll…. meaning it is time for a much needed update!!

In the past five months there has been so many mixed emotions about leaving. Definitely excited but also scared. I am excited about what God is doing and calling me to! I am excited that I am about to embark on a Kingdom journey that is going to change my life. Yet in reality that is probably the scariest thing. I like my life as it I now, actually love it! I am excited about learning to live in a community that is so real and vulnerable, yet, that too could be coupled with fear. My team is going to see parts of me that no one has seen or experienced and my hope is that they love me regardless… I will have to say I am more excited rather than fearful of community. Ask me in a few months and I may have a different opinion.  I am scared that everything will change; that life as I know it will never be the same. I have great friends and I am scared that distance will hinder our relationship that we will be able to ‘move on’ without each other. I am scared of the unknown but within that there is excitement.

So where am I at now…. Excited!!!!! I just got done with training camp and it was challenging yet good. I LOVE my team already. Our team name is Go’el which means Redeemer, and Isaiah 62 is our teams verse that we are praying through and over for the nations. I also want to mention that Adventures in Missions (AIM) is a great mission organization in which I have partnered with before. From when I went to Nicaragua to now I have become more concerned about having sound doctrine. This fits great with my black and white personality, which has developed more since I returned from Nicaragua as well. However AIM is more charismatic and very much Holy Spirit led and less caught up about doctrine. This doesn’t necessarily sit well with me because it means that there is lots of gray and I don’t do well in gray. With that being said I still have reservations towards AIM know that He will protect me and guide me and this is something He wants me to embark on.

Now for the not so fun part but necessary part…finances! God has been so faithful in providing! With him stirring others hearts to give I have met my first deadline and $2,000 short of meeting my second deadline of $6,500 which is due June 17th, and is needed in order for me to launch. Which are you ready for some big news…. I launch July 4th out of Atlanta (praise the Lord) and rather than going to Ireland we are now going to Turkey!! So right now I am looking for 20 people to make a one-time donation of $100 dollars, which will get me to launch plus three months on the field. Then by October I need a total of $11,500, but we will worry about that one later. Please take some time to pray and see if the Lord would have you become a financial sponsor, whether a one time donation or even monthly. I am also looking for prayer partners who would commit to pray for my team, each country, and me for the next 11 months. Prayer is just as necessary as finances but way more important! Please pray and see if the Lord would have you commit to be my prayer partner for the next 11 months. If you feel led then please email me at [email protected] and let me know. I will then send out specific prayer request starting now until I get back! After the second deadline of $6,500 is reached please be on a look out for a video blog about how AIM handles donations the world race blog: http://kristenmoney.theworldrace.org, hopefully I can figure out how to upload the video.
