when words fail me…sometimes a video is a marvelous substitute. 🙂

Highlights include:
1. VBS in the park was incredible. the children were hungry for more bible stories, despite the simplicity of their presentation. my inconsistent spanish stumbled through stories while my amazing teammates (completely propless) desperately ran around behind me trying to overcome language barriers. despite our lack of flashy props and toys, the kids were always ready for more stories and songs. God truly does stand alone. He really can do it by himself. it’s really comforting when we let that responsibility off of our own shoulders.

2.  team bling has had quite a month. our team is actively striving towards
unifying as 6 strangers in ministry. we’re learning who hates pickles,
who is cranky without their caffeine dose, and who snorts when they laugh. it’s an amazing demonstration of vulnerability and community.
3. The Nursing Home: I loved the contrast in ministry this month. We would rotate between volunteering/cleaning/reading in the nearby nursing home and bouncing around a park with 65 crazy children. I’m pretty sure we used the same methods and stories with both groups. Working at the nursing home was an unexpected surprise. I met this amazing man named George. George is blind but wow does he have eyes that see… He walked around with this radio pressed into his chest blaring loud praise songs. We would spend a lot of time just talking about the Lord’s faithfulness…He had some amazing words of wisdom that I’ll definitely carry with me to every country.

TEAM BLING leaves tomorrow morning for Haiti. We’re off to Canaan. From English teaching to Carnival planning, we have quite a busy month ahead of us.,,Please pray for clarity in communication and safety!!! Love you all.
