Haiti…..
In didn’t take long for our squad to experience opposition in Haiti. As a matter of fact, we weren’t even over the border yet and it was clear they didn’t want us crossing. Protesters were in their cars literally trying to push our bus back into the Dominican. The bus driver was telling us that we needed to consider driving the five hours back to Santo Domingo and trying Haiti again tomorrow.

We thought not.

Paul and Silas sang their way out of prison and we had every intention of singing our way IN to Haiti.

Prayer. Prayer. And a little more prayer. Worship songs broke out as all 54 of us awaited a miracle. We sat by and watched as the cars that blocked our path began to move out of the way. Inch by inch our bus moved forward as the gates of Haiti were opened. “How Great is Our God’ echoed throughout our bus as we finally crossed the Haitian border in victory.

Thank you, Jesus.

Much more to come…I just wanted you all to know that we have arrived safely. We are in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been…appropriately named Canaan.
