Liz comes through again and made a video of our day in Roi Et. We took an afternoon off to go be Americans. We ate pizza, looked at things in the mall that we couldn’t afford to buy, hit up Lotus (which was Wal-Mart), and walked around the streets participating in the Water Festival. There was a “strip” running through the city where all the cars seemed to be headed, so we decided to go and found ourselves drenched in Prickly Powder, Baby Powder, and water. Excellent in the April Thai heat.
While trying to temporarily escape the ice water, we darted off into a nearby park where we found paddle boats and a cement jungle of animals. This was our ridiculous, yet entertaining, response.
Jungle bunny was quite content, even if it was a fake jungle.
