Batam, Indonesia
Well, we’ve concluded month 5 in Indonesia. I have more thoughts to come on the conclusion of our month, but I wanted to get some pictures up. Indonesia was a unique experience that has caused me to reflect seriously on as our role as believers in loving Muslims.

Some of my beautiful students from my afternoon English class. They’re students at the bible college in connection with the church where we served.
This is that private island we went to and struggled for Jesus for a few days. It was marvelous.
Just enjoying a view on the interstate ride back home. It looks like this EVERYWHERE!!!
Does anyone see the nostrils in this picture?? Aw yes…this was dinner. Don’t judge a book by its cover though…it was delicious.
This was my little friend, Romeo. We had full conversations, despite the fact that he speaks only Bahasa. TROUBLE! But I loved him…
We went to the school each morning to teach English and play games. We taught them musical chairs…definitely entertaining. WALKING during musical chairs was a hard concept to grasp.
Kara and I enjoyed an evening helping CATCH our lunch. We had this freakishly large nets that were filled with crab, squid and fish. We caught it all and fried it up the next afternoon for lunch.
The island where we spent an afternoon playing with some precious Muslim children. They definitely were so terrified of us when we first arrived that it took 15 minutes to coax them out of the jungle.
