This is Jose…Needless to say, he has stolen the hearts of all Team Bling. He’s a weasel and a half, but smiley and joyful. This is the lovely young man who demanded that I sing to him. I’ve been teaching him Mighty to Save and he mumbles it constantly. Whenever our group walks into the park for play time, he is the first one leaping into our arms.

Filth. That park we play in? Nothing but dirt. When the day is done, you think that we have bad chaco tans, but alas…it’s just the dust. 🙂 “How beautiful are the feet…” right?” Romans 10:15

Play time in the neighborhood. The one immediately on my right is
Daniella. She was my first Dominican friend. It has been strange
spending time with little girls instead of all boys. They like to braid
my hair, play jump rope games, and they always cry when they fall….I
really didn’t understand that at first…the boys of puerto alegria
don’t cry, regardless of the injury. .it’s been a wonderful learning
experience.

Please note the look of aggression of Ma’Lanie’s face…sheer determination. Children’s games aren’t for the faint of heart down here. You’ve gotta be tough if you want to survive…

TEAM BLING!!! We broke down the other night and went to an ice cream shop. Despite how full I was from dinner, you better believe I partook in that heavenly goodness. So good….

Vacation Bible School in the park. I’ve been reading stories while Team Bling acts out the skit.

This is for all my Peru folk….I definitely taught the Dominican kids “El Pato” dance…They love it.
Alejandra…she’s just precious.
The neighbors had a bonfire for us and made some magically delicious hot chocolate.

There are more to come….but my computer is starting to die. I love you all. Keep praying for discernment, safety and health!!
