Hello Family & Friends,

I hope this letter finds you all well!  As some of you may know, I will be leaving in January 2014 for a mission trip through eleven countries in eleven months.  It is called The World Race and while I am on this journey, I will serve “the least of these” while living amongst the real and raw community in many third world countries, where we will partner with other missionaries and churches to be true examples of God’s everlasting love. From working with orphans, to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, I look forward to seeing the many different ways God will work through me to touch the lives of others; consequently changing mine forever! Throughout this amazing journey, I will visit several unique countries, backpack and sleep in tents, experience many different cultures, and do it all in community…this IS what God has called me to do. So with humility and courage I WILL GO knowing that if God brings me to it, he will bring me through it!

It is with great excitement and true joy in my heart to let all of you know a little bit about how God has affirmed that The World Race is exactly where I’m meant to spend this upcoming year. The past several months have been full of life changing circumstances, and I knew God was working in my life, though I had no idea what that something was and didn’t understand WHY he was allowing things to happen or not happen according to MY plan. Yes, notice how I said “MY plan”. Before completely trusting in God with my whole heart, mind, and soul, I “thought” I had my entire life planned out. Little did I know God has been shaking things up and preparing me for a completely different path, and an entirely BETTER one at that!

After many nights of prayer and reflection, God put a burning desire in my heart, a desire unlike anything I have ever experienced, as it came with pure comfort and peace…THAT is how I KNEW it was of God.  For some time now, I have felt He was calling me to develop the heart of a servant…calling me to serve others. As the days grew on and I continued praying about it, I came upon The World Race.  Giving way to complete emotion and through tears of genuine happiness, I was confident this was His call and in that moment I just KNEW this was the answer I had been searching for.  The next morning I woke up with Mark 3:14 clearly on my mind, so I opened my bible and read, “He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to the nations to preach.” With all of that being said I am aware that our lives are a journey of transformation for a purpose, and although the path may be winding with bumps along the way, the destination is where I set my goal: becoming increasingly more like Jesus!

I have been extremely blessed here at home, surrounded by the most amazing family and friends, soon embarking on a selfless journey that’s no longer about me, but instead about His Kingdom! I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs yet ultimately, I will need your help! If you feel led, I want to share the different ways YOU can be a part of my journey as well. First and foremost is PRAYER!  I will need many prayers for courage, humility, and perseverance throughout this journey because I know some days will be harder than others and your prayers will help to get me through.  Yes, my heart aches at the thought of leaving behind everything I know and the comfort that comes along with it, but it rejoices in the fact that I will be with the number one Comforter of all: Jesus Christ and that alone gives me incredible strength!

Another way that you can support me on this journey is through a monetary donation. This trip costs $15,500, which covers all of my expenses in the field and is broken down as follows:

$3,500 – Due 9/28/2013

$7,000 – Due 12/18/2013

$11,000 – Due 4/1/2014

                      $15,500 – Total Due 7/1/2014

Your financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount along with the beginning and end date. Following are two ways you can make a donation:

I will be praying for you & May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry.

With Loveheart
