God’s love for us is much greater than we can even begin to fathom, and the way He reveals that love to us is almost indescribable. My heart was shattered into a million pieces as God displayed His love through the eyes of a sex worker.

The streets of Penang are a bit tricky. Islam is the prevalent religion in Malaysia, so shouting the name of Jesus and proposing conversion to christianity is not exactly savvy, so each situation and conversation must be approached in love andrespect.

I like to think that I am BOLD for the Lord until I looked into the eyes of a “ladyboy” craving love and said nothing. This beautiful child of the living God stands in the street every night waiting for a willing customer that will have their way with here so she can go to sleep a little less hungry.

When I first approached Sunny she was not interested in talking with me. Later on that night God crossed our paths again. A few words were exchanged about the evening and money…as soon as money came up her entire persona changed, Sunny was no longer seductive and giggly, she became an innocent child talking about how deeply she desired love.

“no no, I hate money. I just want to be loved & adored. not purchased for the moment.”

these word shattered my heart. Its one thing to watch videos, read blogs, and hear stories about these kinds of things, but when you look into the eyes of the molested it changes everything.

I would love to tell you that in that moment I through my arms around Sunny and said “GOD LOVES YOU! HIS LOVE IS FREE!”

I was speechless.

I saw so many things that night that made my insides curl.

Abba certainly gave me His eyes for the precious children He loves.

We made our way back to our Hostel and I walked slowly in shock from all that I had seen and heard. As soon as we made it safely inside our cozy home, I crumbled.

I needed to grieve for these people, for Sunny. I wish to change their future, but all I knew to do was cry for them. God wanted to cry for his babies, and He did it through my eyes.

I am so grateful that my Papa has trusted me with the responsibility of loving His kids.

Please PRAY for the sex workers here in Penang.

PRAY for the men that demand a prostitute.

PRAY for the pimps that force the supplies.

PRAY for the full time missionaries here that have spent years building relationships with these sex workers.

I am constantly praying for GOD to give me His words. He is revealing to me that sometimes He wants to simply give me His eyes and ears.

My Hope is in the Lord.

I long for the day that these young ladIes and lady boys will have hope in Christ Jesus, rather than the next person to purchase their body.

“This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our HOPE is in the living GOD, who is the savior of all people.” 1 Timothy 4:10

Yours Truly,
