Today marks the beginning of my World Race travels. I am going to Houston, will have dinner with a best friend who now lives and works there, and then go to my squadmates house to stay the night before we (me and 4 of my squadmates) start the road trip to Toccoa Falls, GA for a week of training with all 4 of the squads leaving in September and the World Race staff. Our camp is going to be the largest in WR history!

So I had to pack my bag for training camp as if I was packing for the race…. my 60L pack is literally bursting at the seems! and I dont even have everything in it that I plan to take in September!!

My heart is also bursting at the seems. I have gathered as much information and tips about training camp as possible from blogs, alumni racers, fellow racers, etc… But I am not sure there is any way to truly prepare for training camp. Don't get me wrong, I am SO STOKED. I just have a feeling that God is going to destroy me…

You would think that before I spend a week sleeping in my tent that I would sleep like a baby in my soft bed under a hi speed ceiling fan. But the past few nights my mind has just raced and focused on that fact "SLEEP NOW, WHILE ITS COMFORTABLE!" and I've stared at the clock every hour.

I cannot wait to meet all of the fabulous people God has chosen for this race. Its going to be a beautiful disaster….

All Glory and Honor to Christ Jesus
