“Open wide my door, my
Lord, to whatever makes me love you more”

Amongst a community of
thousands of houses made of tin and trash there is JOY. There is LIFE in this place because JESUS is HERE.

Mamma Tracy lives here and has made her home
into a school for the children of this community. Their parents drop them off as early as 5am
and she looks after them until after dinnertime. Parents drop them off so that they can go to
work. The only time some of these
children will eat is when they are at Tracy’s’.   She has on average 40 kids each day. She feeds them breakfast, lunch and dinner
and snacks. She teaches them, plays with
them and cares for them.

She told us, “It is not my work, it is
God’s, these are
His children and he sent me to look after them and protect them.”

There is so much Joy in her eyes as she looks at her kids;
she is passionate about her work, her life, and her mission. Volunteers from TLC orphanage helped her
paint this place and decorate it for the children.

A little bit about Mamma T, she used to be blind and
paralyzed. She couldn’t see and she
couldn’t walk. We asked her what
happened and she said:

“One day, I surrendered everything to
the Lord and He opened my eyes and said
‘Go outside Tracy’ so I went outside, my eyes were opened, I could
SEE
and I could WALK outside!
Praise the Lord!”

While we
were there we painted the kids faces, gave them juice and some cheetos. These
sweet little children love to be loved.
