I have been participating in CGA for about 2 weeks. I love it so far. I am living in a little cottage with 7 women. We all live in the same room and share a bathroom and sink, couch, well everything. Hello community living. In just a few short weeks we will be able to move to the main house with 17 other women. The house is on the property that we are currently living on. Jeff and Alycea Hylton have opened up their beautiful home to us. When they were building it they felt that God was telling them to keep making more rooms, to put in as many rooms as possible, so that’s what they did. Thanks to them being faithful to what they were hearing the Lord say, we are able to have 30 people living in their house, that’s with them keeping all of their bedrooms for them as well as their 3 kids. This property and house is amazing!! We have been super blessed by it and by their family.
We are each working in a department of the office. I am working in development. In development I work a lot with donor relations. We talk to donors about questions that they have, answer phone calls and emails. We also send out newsletters and thank you notes and plan events. I love working in this department, the women and men that I work with are super sweet and so welcoming.
In the afternoons we partake in classes with various staff members. We discuss lots of different things. It has been super helpful to develop ideas and my relationship with the Lord. We also have time to develop our dreams and what God is pushing us towards.
I love life in Georgia. We have our ups and downs but overall God is showing up in big ways and is moving in this place. One of my favorite times of the week is Monday morning worship. I love starting my week off in the presence of the Lord, pouring over each other and speaking life over each other. The work environment is so encouraging; we have such a strong support system and genuinely love each other.
